ECo-LODGE HOTEL CASE STUDYBackground: This outdoor wellness themed eco-lodge in Morocco currently has no gym for guest use, so we are developing a fitness space carefully tailored to this specific audience, their training preference and recovery needs.

ECo-LODGE HOTEL CASE STUDYBackground: After the success of his first resort in Morocco, the owner and CEO of La Tour d’Eole is developing a site in Cape Verde with a similar outdoor wellness concept. The gym concept is to be developed at brand level first and then applied, with minor modifications, in each We are collaborating withof the two resorts.

LUXURY HOTEL CASE STUDYBackground: We work with developer Refad Real Estate on their Miraf District, a mixed-use development in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. Specifically, our role relates to the Conrad Hilton luxury hotel’s wellness club, open to outside members and hotel guests.

WELLNESS RESORT CASE STUDYBackground: We were asked to help conceptualise and space plan all indoor and outdoor wellness facilities for a re-imagined, destination wellness resort with a strong longevity angle for what is currently the Sao Felix Hotel in Portugal, owned by RINA Group.
Role: Gym, spa & wellness consultant
Services: Pre-design planning + concept development for spa, recovery and gym facilities, including capacity assumptions, zoning logic and early technical coordination inputs for over 2000m2 of wellness facilities in total.
Outcome: Clear programme and planning brief aligned to service level, enabling faster approvals and cleaner coordination with interior design and MEP teams.

BOUTIQUE RESORT CASE STUDYBackground: The owner of Aleenta Phuket wanted to convert a number of available spaces in the resort’s existing spa into functional spa / biohacking concepts. We advised on the range of viable options, finally selecting a float tank, infrared sauna and ice baths.

LUXURY RESORT CASE STUDYBackground: We worked with Sani Resort (and all Ikos Resorts within the same group) on an ongoing retainer contract delivering strategic advice at group / C-suite level as well as designing individual gym and fitness concepts around the resort (both new and existing).

LUXURY RESORT CASE STUDYBackground: We worked with Ikos Kissamos as part of our strategic partnership to conceptualise, plan and equip the new-build, indoor-outdoor gym overlooking the resort pool.

BEACH RESORT CASE STUDYBackground: We were asked to conceptualize, plan and equip a new outdoor gym on an under-utilized section of the resort beach, providing a much-needed gym facility for guests.

LUXURY RESORT CASE STUDYBackground: We worked with the Ikos Resorts team on the planning, concept development and equipment selection for a new outdoor beach gym.

Outcome: A unique selling point that provides a complete functional training experience with a sea view, immersed in nature. We used a customised gym container to provide on-site storage, incorporated a shade structure and poured a concrete slab to provide a solid base underfoot.

BOUTIQUE HOTEL CASE STUDYBackground: Melia Hotels brought us in to advise on the wellness strategy for their new boutique hotel brand in association with tennis star Rafa Nadal. We initially defined a number of key brand concepts such as the role of biophilic design in Zel hotel interiors, before conceptualising the brand’s first gym and wellness studio.

Singita Mara River tented camp gym, South Africa

SAFARI LODGE CASE STUDYBackground: Having previously advised Singita on their Sabi Sand property gyms, we were called back in 2023 to lead the creation of an outdoor exercise area for guest use. Given the remote location, no equipment could be flown in, so we designed a set of bodyweight training obstacles that could be built on-site using local materials.

BOUTIQUE HOTEL CASE STUDYBackground: Lord Somerleyton, owner of Fritton Lake Hotel & Members Club, brought us in to create a new barn gym to enhance the member experience. Fully immersed in nature, and with a range of outdoor activities such as trail running and cold water swimming already available, we used biophilic design to bring the outside world in and curated a selection of gym equipment oriented around natural materials such as wood and leather.

No, we are not an equipment manufacturer or supplier. We act independently to specify and coordinate equipment requirements from a broad range of specialist brands. Procurement can be handled by the client, contractor or nominated supplier, depending on the tender strategy. We can also manage this process ourselves, in certain cirumstances.
