basketball courts
multi-sports courts & indoor basketball courts
Premium Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) brands in the UK now think nothing of allocating 80m2 of double-height ground floor leisure space to an indoor basketball court, or multi-sports court for badminton and other games. If the padel craze continues much longer, we expect to be asked for one of those too soon!
sports bars
SPORTS BAR INTERIOR DESIGN
The Blue Room Sports Bar we designed for Porto Montenegro was one of our first leisure spaces. It included table tennis table, table football, a golf simulator, a TV zone for watching competitions, an e-gaming area and outdoor pool, all in a location overlooking a cricket pitched / sports field. Bouncing off the industrial aesthetic of the 500m2 ex-warehouse space, we created a biophilic interior with live plants and botanical wallpapers. It became an instant hit with local communities!
beach CLUBS
beach CLUB DESIGN CONSULTANTS
An activity focused beach club can happily integrate a beach volleyball court, beach gym, group fitness area, yoga deck, cabanas and access to watersports to create an active leisure space that appeals to a wide audience group. Add in a health bar and a bar team with a suitably sunny disposition and you’re all set! The Porto Montenegro Beach Club we designed included all of that and more. Again this is a leisure space with wide ranging appeal to local communities of beach and well being fanatics.
egaming rooms
egaming room design CONSULTANTS
Egaming rooms are here to stay on the leisure spaces landscape, whether for a sports bar or co-living student accommodation project, these intimate spaces can represent a modest investment with big returns.
We previously designed an egaming room for the Blue Room Sports Bar in Porto Montenegro, alongside a golf simulator space, providing gamers with a dedicated space for play away from the bar customers. Recently we’ve experimented with biophilic design in egaming rooms for added well being benefits.

The interior design of indoor basketball courts plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall experience for players and spectators alike.
A well-executed interior design not only ensures optimal performance but also creates an engaging atmosphere that encourages sportsmanship and community building.
When developing the interior design for an indoor basketball court, it is essential to consider aspects such as lighting, acoustics, flooring, and color schemes.
Incorporating high-quality lighting in the interior design is vital for the functionality of an indoor basketball court, as it directly impacts the visibility and performance of the players.
To achieve this, designers must strike a balance between natural and artificial lighting, taking into account factors such as glare, shadows, and energy efficiency.
Additionally, the acoustics within the space should be carefully considered, using sound-absorbing materials to minimize noise levels and enhance the overall auditory experience for both players and spectators.
The choice of flooring in the interior design of an indoor basketball court is yet another critical element, as it directly affects player safety and performance.
Materials such as hardwood or high-quality synthetic surfaces are commonly used, offering optimal traction, shock absorption, and durability.
Moreover, the color scheme of the court should be visually appealing and complementary to the brand or organization it represents, while also ensuring clear demarcation of lines and boundaries for ease of play.

Increasingly popular in high-end resorts where the standard of experience on offer is becoming ever more impressive, especially in the ultra-luxury segment. We have dabbled in kids club design concepts as it's basically about play, movement and being outdoors in a safe environment. Our kind of club in other words!
-
The collective term used in residential real estate developments, especially co-living, for the wellness and activity spaces in a building.
These may include a gym, outdoor gym, yoga room, meditation room, e-gaming room, multi-purpose sports court and even spa facilities.
Typical principles to follow include wellness design, biophilic design and healthy interior design.

An indoor sports court, be it half or full size, that can accommodate basketball, as well as other activities such as badminton, group yoga classes, perhaps some boxing bags tucked away in a corner even.
-
More generally, leisure spaces today can promote interaction and social wellness by allowing for enough play areas for kids, both indoors and outdoors, especially in a resort setting.
-
An adjacent concept to leisure is wellbeing. This relationship is a subtle one to pick apart as for many, leisure time is about physical and mental wellbeing. For kids, leisure spaces may have more to do with social connection.
