Best Outdoor Gym Equipment Brands
Our recommendations on outdoor exercise equipment
We work with various outdoor gym equipment specialist manufacturers on our outdoor gym design assignments. After many years of helping hotel or real estate developer clients buy outdoor gym equipment, it is clear that not all are created equal.
Categories of outdoor fitness equipment for an outdoor space - hotel, resort, or residential
Some outdoor fitness equipment suppliers focus more on functional fitness. In contrast, others focus on outdoor weights equipment, outdoor cardio equipment, natural materials, low-budget pricing, specific fitness levels, or premium finishes for luxurious settings. Then, there are the matters of location, delivery, and installation.
Below, we look at the following brands dedicated to helping you live an active lifestyle by exercising outdoors, whether in your garden, at a resort, or using outdoor personal training equipment in your nearest park; it’s all good!
BeaverFit, UK
Element Fitness, Latvia
Evergy, Spain
Gym80, Germany
Lacertosus, Italy

Triform, Italy
BeaverFit outdoor gym equipment, UK
Originally founded as a provider of equipment to the British military, Beaverfit are one of our go-to providers for high-end, premium outdoor gym equipment as they are specialists in the field.
They now have operations in the US as well as the UK and recently started collaborating with other gym equipment brands such as Eleiko and HammerStrength, providing those two giants with their Shred Shed and outdoor gym containers in a co-branded solution.
Beaverfit effectively do not offer any standard models of outdoor gym equipment, everything is built around the specifics of each location and project requirements, although there are of course shortcuts available by building upon a previous rig design.
In our case, this gives us a carte blanche to create bespoke rigs that fit the exact dimensions of the available space given to us.
Element Fitness outdoor gym equipment, Latvia
Latvian brand Element Fitness have a wide collection of standard products for outdoor gyms, both commercial and public, from machines to rigs, functional training containers, ninja training, trail obstacles and military style training equipment.
Although based in Latvia, they have various distributors around Europe including our friends at Fit4Life in Spain for example, making them an increasingly realistic option based on their competitive pricing and design quality.
Their suspension belt frames are an entry level way in, providing multiple TRX or gymnastic ring suspension points for group fitness classes but no squat racks, dip bars or other training prompts.
Their calisthenics-style outdoor rigs are perhaps the most rugged, Crossfit style options in their offer, especially when customized with a gym brand’s preferred colours.
A full range of squat racks and storage solutions are very much in line with our own philosophy of combining a rig with equipment storage solution to optimize the available gym floor space.
Finally, they also provide gym equipment such as benches, steps, training ropes, parallettes and weightlifting platforms.
Evergy outdoor gym equipment, barcelona, Spain
Spain’s Every Fitness are part of the Thomas Wellness Group and aim to provide a complete gym equipment fit-out solution under one brand name, this includes a generous selection of rigs, racks and outdoor equipment with a minimalist, rugged aesthetic making them a viable option for boutique gyms and Crossfit style training facilities as well as hotel gyms and health club outdoor training areas.
As they are also manufacturers of cardio machines and strength machines, they are less specialists in outdoor gym equipment and a more generalist in their approach.
Their rigs are customizable to fit the needs of the client however and an outdoor gm storage container provides a solid option for a hotel or resort looking to store the equipment safely in the off-season.
Look for them in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain.
GYM80 OUTDOOR WEIGHTS GYM EQUIPMENT
GYM80 is a leading gym equipment brand known for its high-quality products that cater to fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders. With over 40 years of experience, GYM80 has established itself as a maker of durable, high-quality gym equipment that offers a wide range of customization options.
This relatively new range of outdoor strength machines is made of weather-resistant materials, provides smooth biomechanics, and is 100% Made In Germany.
The nine different strength machines are made of galvanized and powdered steel with an attractive rusty brown colour to the frames while the outdoor grade upholstery is all black.
Kompan outdoor gym equipment, denmark
Danish brand Kompan have been producing playground equipment, outdoor furniture and outdoor gym solutions for over 50 years and came to our attention as they have a distribution set-up in Barcelona, Spain. They also equipped our local outdoor gym so we have had a chance to stress test their products.
Within their outdoor fitness range, there is a more natural iteration of the classic outdoor gym design, using timber trunk vertical posts combined with steel horizontal bars for a clean, Scandinavian aesthetic that would look great in any park, garden, or forest setting.
Here, we see the apparent influence of their expertise in making children’s playground equipment.
In addition to various cardio and strength outdoor equipment that we are less likely to specify on our projects for different reasons, the street workout rigs are ideal for calisthenic training, especially popular with teenagers and bodyweight fitness aficionados.
Miraculously, Kompan has a serious sustainability plan in place, sadly making them a rare exception in the fitness industry today. They work with sustainably sourced wood, upcycled ocean plastic, and textile waste.
Their Made Green products are made entirely of post-consumer recycled waste, while their GreenLine products benefit from a 50% reduction in carbon emissions versus the 2014 version.
Lacertosus outdoor gym equipment, italy
Lacertosus are a functional training specialist with an outdoor gym manufacturing capacity in-house at their factory in Italy, near Parma.
Everything from medicine balls, cardio machines, kettlebells, dumbbells, discs, benches, barbells, weight-lifting machines, ropes, bands, rigs, and racks is on offer here, most of it in their trademark black on black with minimalist white branding.
Lacertosus is also a home gym equipment guru of sustainability and can customize outdoor rigs with brand colours, as shown in this example of ours for the outdoor gym at Ikos Andalusia resort in southern Spain.
MyEquilibria outdoor gym equipment, Italy
Luxury outdoor gym equipment brand MyEquilibria is proudly Made In Italy and maintains premium pricing as a reflection of its design and quality credentials.
Their outdoor gym products are, it must be said, instantly recognizable thanks to their artistic, tree-like shapes inspired by nature.
Currently, six different models of the MyTree are available with various attachments and accessories to extend its use.
The Full Tree, for example, includes parallel bars, pull-up bars, ring sets, and suspension training hooks with six branches intended to cover all major muscle groups.
MyBeast is a rig and rack style outdoor gym equipment range, while the MyIsle is a 16-24 square meter platform that serves as a base for fitness equipment accessories for solo or group fitness training.
MyEquilibria are, in our opinion, best suited to luxury gym design projects or, oddly, municipal gyms available to all, as the upfront investment is so considerable that it will take a few years to pay back on value. Based on our experience of their Barcelona beach gym, however, it is a worthwhile investment.
Reaxing outdoor gym equipment, italy
In a similar vein to MyEquilibria, Reaxing are another upscale Italian outdoor gym equipment brand stealing the limelight from Technogym - who have in fact been conspicuously slow to move into the outdoor gym sector.
Reaxing are in a league of their own with their neurofunctional and proprioceptive training machines for physiotherapy studios, water-based ‘soft shock barbell’ designs, sleek black pool rafts, light stations for training response time and 3D sensory flooring mats.
They have a unique position in the market, a rarity in the fitness industry today.
Outdoor gym concepts here cover scenarios as diverse as a city square, beach gym, home gym, outdoor hotel gym, and park gym. Customization options allow for modifications to fit a specific size gym floor area, there are even a number of daring Reaxing solutions for dome structures around an outdoor gym.
Triform outdoor gym equipment, Italy
Triform has everything from an all-in-one gym to a more simplistic style of outdoor gym equipment and functional training tools, storage racks, and storage benches suitable for outdoor use.
The Functional Box shown in the image above is a complete, all-in-one outdoor gym set-up, including all the equipment needed to fill those shelves inside the container when the gym is not in use.
One advantage of buying a shed from a brand that has the full range of equipment, rather than needing to engage with multiple different brands to cover your equipment needs and tackling all the challenges that create in terms of colour matching, branding, and so on.
Most of their functional training gym equipment comes in a solid black with vibrant turquoise detailing and white branding, with just a few exceptions, such as their kettlebells and weight plates.
They also have a high-tech component to their offer, with an extensive QR code strategy for training exercises and equipment.
